Pegolesi’s La Serva Padrona describes the relationship between a master and his maid. We relocate the scene to a modern scientific lab. Professor Uberto is a geek, an avid bachelor whose entire world is the laboratory. Serpina is his research assistant – young, wild and lively. They have an ongoing power struggle. Tempers run high in the lab, but also passion, and the rivalry becomes love.
